Nou doctor al grup de recerca GISEAFE
El doctorand Rafael Tarragó García va realitzar l’acte de lectura i defensa de la seva tesi doctoral el passat 25 de gener de 2017 a les 11. La tesi doctoral titulada “Estructura temporal, interacción táctica y eficacia en asaltos de esgrima de alto nivel” ha estat dirigida per el Dr. Xavier Iglesias Reig.
Va ser tot un èxit! Per això en nom de tots els components del grup donem l’enhorabona tant al Dr. Rafael Tarragó García, com al seu director el Dr. Xavier Iglesias Reig.

Young Researcher Award 2017
The European Association for Sociology of Sport is proud to announce the 9th Eass Young Researcher Award. The aim of the award is to facilitate the integration of outstanding graduate students and young researchers into the European community of sociology of sport scholars. The award will be granted to a scholarly paper authored by a young researcher, which is deemed by a panel of judges to be of highest quality. The winning author will be invited to receive the award and present the paper at the Annual Conference of the Eass, to be held in Prague, Czech Republic, 14–17 June 2017. The winning paper may be considered for publication in the European Journal for Sport and Society.
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF SUBMISSIONS: 15th February 2017

V Congreso Internacional Deporte, Dopaje y Sociedad
La Agencia Española de Protección de la Salud en el Deporte (AEPSAD) y la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid organizan el V Congreso Internacional Deporte, Dopaje y Sociedad, que se celebrará en Madrid del 15 al 17 de febrero del 2017.
Bajo el lema Think Clean, el encuentro, que contará con la presencia de expertos internacionales, pretende poner en común los resultados de investigaciones científicas y nuevas metodologías en el ámbito del dopaje en el deporte.

Nova publicació sobre partenariats publicoprivats en els complexos esportius municipals
L’Escola d’Administració Pública de Catalunya ha publicat el llibre digital “Els acords de partenariat publicoprivat en els complexos esportius municipals en municipis de menys de 20.000 habitants”.
Aquesta recerca ha estat finançada per la pròpia EAPC, l’ha dirigit l’Andreu Camps i hi han col·laborat vàries persones del grup GISEAFE.

Gender, Physical Education and Active Lifestyles: Researching Young People’s Experiences Conference
The Institute for Sport, Physical Activity and Leisure is pleased to announce a forthcoming conference to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sheila Scraton’s book, Shaping Up To Womanhood: Gender and Girls’ Physical Education (Educación física de las niñas: un enfoque feminista).
In recognition of the diverse reach of this significant work, they invite postgraduate, early career and established scholars to attend this day of celebration and stimulating discussion.
They seek proposals for presentations from those committed to socio-critical and/or feminist analyses of young people’s experiences of physical education, sport, health and active lifestyles. These include empirical, theoretical, methodological, and/or policy focused papers, or those offering insights into the possibilities and prospects for future research and practice. There will be an opportunity for selected papers to be included in a special journal edition.
Keynote speakers will include; Emeritus Professor Sheila Scraton, Leeds Beckett University and Dr Emma Rich, Bath University.
The deadline for submissions of proposals is 12:00 1 March 2017.

14th Conference of the European Association for Sociology of Sport
Entre els dies 14 i 17 de juny de 2017 tindrà lloc a Prague, the Czech Republic la 14th Conference of the European Association for Sociology of Sport, sota el títol “The Values of Sport: between tradition and (post)modernity”. Té obert el procés de presentació d’abstracts fins el 15 de febrer 2017.
